The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority has appointed Stan Van Ostran as vice president and chief financial officer.

The senior staff position, which Van Ostran assumed on Aug. 11 after a nationwide search, is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the financial and accounting activities of the MNAA and the MNAA Properties Corp.

"The MNAA is committed to innovation and financial efficiency," said Raul Regalado, president and CEO of the MNAA. "Stan's experience will strengthen our overall mission to operate our airports in the most cost-effective manner and provide the Nashville Airports' Experience, making our facilities a great place to be a passenger, partner and employee."

Van Ostran joins the MNAA from the State of Oklahoma, where he served as comptroller of the Oklahoma Lottery Commission, an operation he helped start in 2005. He directed all financial operations, as well as developed agency policies and a comprehensive accounting manual.

Van Ostran also has been CFO of the Oklahoma Department of Central Services — where he oversaw statewide agency services such as purchasing, property management, and risk management — as well as the Oklahoma Capitol Improvement Authority, where he was responsible for revenue bond financing and capital improvements for state agencies, colleges and universities within Oklahoma.

He is a graduate of the University of Tulsa College of Law and Missouri Southern State College.
