Banker moves into nonprofit sector

Saint Thomas Health Services has named Jennie Renwick senior development officer and major gifts director for the Saint Thomas Health Services Fund. She takes on the position after serving as a vice president at First Tennessee Bank in Nashville since 1999.

In her years at the bank, Renwick managed large-company relationship portfolios, private client services and medical private client services. She was previously a vice president at the Nashville brokerage Heidtke & Co. She serves on the boards of the Pencil Foundation and the Land Trust of Tennessee.

Renwick holds an undergraduate degree in corporate finance from the University of Alabama. She completed the Commercial Banking Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School.

The Saint Thomas Health Services Fund supports patient care and other needs at STHS-owned hospitals and in the community. Publicly available tax filings show that in the year ending June 30, 2007, it paid out $2.86 million in grants. The largest amounts went to the St. Thomas Hospital Research Institute, the Safety Net Consortium of Middle Tennessee, and Saint Thomas and Baptist Hospitals. The fund completed its fiscal 2007 with $36.4 million in assets.
