State military growth
A portion of the Houston Barracks at 3041 Sidco Drive will be renovated to make room for the offices of the State of Tennessee Military Department. R.G. Anderson Co. is handling the work, which is valued at $1.6 million.
Germantown office project
S&A Constructors has pulled permits for the construction of a new office and retail building downtown at 915 Jefferson St. in Germantown. The personal injury law firm of Luvell L. Glanton is building the structure and will use 6,731 square feet of the space for its offices. An additional 1,811 square feet of space will be for retail. The project is valued at $1 million.
Ground-floor Pinnacle work
Work will soon begin on the inside of the first floor of the Pinnacle office tower in SoBro. The work for Pinnacle National Bank is valued at $973,000. Flow Construction Co. has been contracted for the job.
New life for Green Hills Grille site
The site of the former Green Hills Grille, which closed last summer, will soon be renovated. The location, at 3815 Green Hills Village Drive, will be converted into Mariah's Restaurant. The $613,000 work will be handled by Venture Construction.
Neighborhood center downtown
Wellspring Builders is moving ahead on a project to renovate downtown's Fire Station #1 and turn it into a neighborhood resource center. The project at 1312 Third Ave. N. encompasses 2,960 square feet and will cost $275,000.
Cool job for Cameron Middle
Metro schools is putting $263,800 toward installing new HVAC units on the roof of Cameron Middle School at 1110 1st Ave. S. Bruce Adams Construction is handling the work.
Brentwood hotel preps flag change
The former Brentwood Wilson Inn & Suites will soon be renovated in order to become a Holiday Inn Express. The site at 5566 Franklin Pike Circle will see $218,000 worth of work, which will be done by SCS Construction.
IT firm renovating space
The Parent Co. has taken out permits for the rehab of a 460 square foot space at the Royal Park Business Center. The space will house Symcor Computer. The work is valued at $200,000.
