Bringing dialysis where it

With the dialysis industry now valued at $15 billion annually, there are three companies headquartered in the Nashville area that specialize in care for the growing number of Americans with renal disease.

Publicly traded Renal Care Group, not-for-profit Dialysis Clinics Inc. and Franklin-based National Renal Alliance (NRA) LLC all own and operate dialysis centers throughout the country.

Earlier this month, NRA received an investment of $40 million in private equity from Warwick Group Inc, the Connecticut-headquartered private equity firm that helped launch the company in 2002. NRA also received $3 million in debt financing from Fifth Third Bank.
