Heery International staff addition

Heery International Inc. has hired Caroline Evey as marketing coordinator for its Nashville office. For the past two years, Evey worked in the human resources, business development and sustainable services departments for Atlanta-based Holder Construction Co. She is a Penn State graduate.

Genesco names vice president

James Day III has joined Genesco as vice president of internal audit and advisory services. Day most recently served as assistant vice president of internal audit for Symbion Healthcare. He is a graduate of Rhodes College with a degree in business administration.

FirstBank adds CIO

FirstBank has hired Jon Fox to fill the new position of chief information officer. Fox will lead the IT division of the bank, ensuring efficiency and overseeing help-desk support, network services, IT operations and application management. Fox is coming to FirstBank from San Antonio, Texas. He was with the United Services Automobile Association for 25 years, where he held a number of senior IT roles.

Buntin names account director, media planning VP

Marketing communications agency The Buntin Group has hired former EURO RSCG Worldwide Group account director Fred Saunders as executive vice president and director of account management. Saunders will assume chief responsibility for the agency’s account management services. He brings more than 14 years in senior account management experience and has also worked at J. Walter Thompson, Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, among others. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University.

Buntin also has hired former Draftfcb Group media director Theresa Chang as vice president of media planning. Chang has more than 19 years experience directing promotional media campaigns. Prior to Draftfcb in New York, her experience includes Foote, Cone & Belding and Grey Advertising in New York and Intermark Group in Birmingham. She is a graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Dillon joins United Neighborhood Health Services

Robin Dillon has joined United Neighborhood Health Services as director of development. Dillon, who has more than 11 years of development experience with non-profit agencies and groups in Nashville, was previously development director at Love In A Big World. She holds a certificate in fund development from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Paramore | Redd announces additions to staff

Paramore | Redd Online Marketing has hired Meredith Thomas, Thomas Cunningham, Josh Cole and Jonathan Kelly.

Thomas joins Paramore | Redd as new media specialist after successful gigs at ESPN, MTV and the Discovery Channel. Cunningham, a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, is a designer and developer whose experience includes work for Zoltun Design and MSAFrontline.com in that city.

Cole joins as director of client services. He has a background in Web design and award-winning photography and was a founder of Web development firm Cora Syndicate before its acquisition by Paramore | Redd. Kelly also comes to Paramore | Redd as a senior software engineer as part of the Cora Syndicate acquisition.

AmMed Direct adds VP

Tom Herrmann has been named vice president of pharmacy business services at AmMed Direct, which sells maintenance products and support services to people with diabetes. Herrmann will oversee the daily business operations of AmMed’s HomeCare Pharmacy. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School and most recently served as executive vice president of operations and product management at Mailnet Services Inc. in Franklin.
