Lynch joins Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock

Morgan Lynch has joined the healthcare public affairs firm Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock Inc., the firm has announced.

Morgan brings to the firm a background in healthcare public relations and most recently managed the Cleveland Clinic-Florida account for rbb Public Relations in Miami, where she was an account executive.

Prior to that work, Morgan was an account executive with the healthcare division of Cohn & Wolfe in New York City, working with Genentech BioOncology and Endo Pharmaceuticals among others. She is a graduate of Tulane University.

Chambers, McAlister join Pinnacle Financial

Longtime financial services professionals Mary Chambers and Kay McAlister have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners.

Chambers brings 32 years of experience to her role of senior vice president and office manager for Pinnacle’s Alexander Plaza office in Franklin. She most recently comes from Renasant Bank, where she was the manager of its Cool Springs office. Prior to Renasant, Chambers served in a similar role at Regions Bank.

McAlister joins Pinnacle as senior vice president and financial advisor for the firm’s Mallory Lane office in the Cool Springs area. She was most recently a premier client manager at Bank of America, where she worked for 30 years.

Health care executive search firm expands to Dallas

The nationally recognized healthcare executive search firm, Kraft Search Associates, announces Lourdes Cordero has joined the firm and will be working in the company’s new Dallas office.

Cordero joins the healthcare executive search firm following a career, which included 18 years with First City Bancorporation of Texas where she rose to SVP/chief human resources officer for 17 banking locations. Cordero was subsequently recruited in 1990 to join American Medical International (AMI).

Following Tenet’s acquisition of AMI in 1994, Cordero became vice president, human resources and led both the Dallas corporate office and 60 hospitals in the Eastern Division. Following her retirement in 2002 Lourdes has maintained an active consulting career, which has included working with a national healthcare executive search firm.

Cooper names Leuschen legislative director

U.S. Congressman Jim Cooper (D-Tenn.) announced that he has promoted James Leuschen to the position of legislative director. Leuschen had previously served as Cooper’s legislative assistant for budget, tax and finance, writing an entire federal budget proposal for fiscal year 2008.

Leuschen, who has worked on Capitol Hill for three years, holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago. Before coming to Cooper’s office in September 2006, he worked in the Washington office of Rep. Diana DeGette (D-Colo.).

Leuschen replaces Cicely Simpson, a Tennessee native who recently departed for the private sector.

Regions Bank names Preston branch manager

Regions Bank has promoted Roger Preston to the position of Branch Manager of the Hickory Plaza office.

Preston has been with the bank since May 2006 and was most recently the Assistant Manager of the Belle Meade office. Before joining the bank, he was in retail sales management.
