Jones joins Pinnacle

Tiffany Jones has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as a financial advisor based at Pinnacle’s Brentwood office. She most recently comes from Bank of America, where she worked in both the premier and business banking areas. Prior to her time at Bank of America, Jones served as an assistant manager at Union Planters Bank. She attended Middle Tennessee State University.

Diabetic supply company adds two execs

Simplex Diabetic Supply has named George Narr chief information officer and Craig Hartman chief financial officer. Narr will lead the efforts of the information technology staff in the design and development of the platforms and systems that will facilitate the accelerating growth of the company.

Hartman will oversee the finance and accounting functions of the organization. He has more than 14 years of corporate finance experience, including at Eli Lilly, Caremark Rx and Psychiatric Solutions.

LandDesign promotes three

LandDesign Inc. has promoted Dan Allen, Claudia Forrester and Mike Kahnle in its Nashville office.

Allen has been promoted to associate and will be responsible for overall project management and design, governmental permitting and stormwater facility design. Prior to joining LandDesign, he was project engineer for RW Armstrong in Indiana.

Forrester has been promoted to manager. Her new responsibilities include project management of the design phase of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. Prior to joining LandDesign, Forrester worked as a design engineer for INGETEC, an engineering consulting firm located in Bogota, Colombia.

Kahnle has been promoted to a senior associate. His new responsibilities include project management from the initial design phase through construction. He previously worked as a landscape architect for Glatting Jackson in Orlando.

Buntyon to lead new Village unit

Sheena Buntyon has been named director of Village Property Management, a new division of Village Real Estate Services. Previously, she was active in property management while working at Freeman Webb Co. and then Giarratana-Novare Group.

Sandwith to lead SeniorMetrix sales

SeniorMetrix has named Michael Sandwith vice president of sales. Sandwith has more than 21 years of professional health care experience in high-risk population management, contracting, managed care, marketing, sales, and strategic planning. Prior to joining SeniorMetrix, he was vice president of enterprise accounts for NotifyMD.

Smith Seckman adds director

Engineering firm Smith Seckman Reid has hired David Donoho as a director in its Nashville office. He will be responsible for management and business development of the company’s transportation group.

Prior to joining SSR, Donoho worked for Tennessee Department of Transportation for more than 30 years. He holds a bachelor’s of science in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee.

Two named to safety posts

Duane Phillips has been named director of Metro’s Emergency Communications Center. He is a 36-year veteran and lieutenant of the Metro Police Department and was named interim director of the communications center in May.

Laura Hokenstad has been director of Metro’s Office of Emergency Management. She is currently senior associate vice president at the Olson Group, an emergency management contracting firm based in Alexandria, Va. From 2001 to 2005, Hokenstad worked for FEMA as a voluntary agency liaison.

change:healthcare names finance, strategy director

George Sibble has been named director of finance and strategy at change:healthcare. He will oversee financial strategy and execution for the consumerism company.

Sibble graduated from Vanderbilt University with an engineering degree in 2006 and is currently completing an MBA at the Owen Graduate School of Management. He is president of the Max Adler Student Investment Fund at Vanderbilt and was CEO of Paintball Guru in Boston before selling his interest in that Web-based business.

Two locals named to board of Tennessee Justice Center

David Esquivel and Vic Alexander have been elected officers of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Justice Center. Esquivel, a member at Bass Berry & Sims, is chair. Alexander, chief manager of Kraft CPAs, will be treasurer.

Legal Aid Society hires two

The Legal Aid Society has added attorneys DarKenya Waller and Katie Evans to its Nashville office. Waller will work in the areas of family law and housing. Katie Evans will assist clients with health and benefits issues.

Waller has nine years of experience in Mississippi, where she worked in private practice, with the state government and with a family law firm. She received her law degree from the University of Mississippi Law School and also holds an MBA.

Evans is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she was a leader among public interest students and active in pro bono activities. She comes to the Legal Aid Society after a year in private practice.

Zyga named VP at Barge Waggoner

Ken Zyga has joined Barge Waggoner Sumner & Cannon, as vice president of facilities in the firm’s Nashville office. He will focus on providing services to clients, business development, resource management, strategic planning, and process enhancement.

A graduate of Clarkson University of Potsdam, N.Y., Zyga has 19 years of industry experience in designing and managing facilities for industrial, commercial, educational, recreational, institutional, and water/wastewater environments. He was previously employed with Malcolm Pirnie Inc., and Clough, Harbour & Associates.

Alsup, Rodgers promoted at SunTrust

Mac Alsup has been promoted to first vice president and Drew Rodgers has been promoted to vice president in SunTrust’s commercial line of business.

Alsup, who joined SunTrust in 1998, has held different positions within the bank including the credit department, and portfolio specialist and relationship manager in the commercial line of business. He earned his bachelor’s from Lipscomb University.

Rodgers, who joined SunTrust in 2003, started as a portfolio specialist, then moved to relationship manager in the commercial line of business. He earned his bachelor’s from Auburn University and his MBA from Millsaps College.

Chamber adds VP

The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce had named Courtney Ross vice president of existing business. She will be working in the economic development department as part of the Chamber’s Partnership 2010 initiative and will oversee economic development activities involving existing business retention and expansion in the 10-county Nashville region.

Prior to joining the chamber, Ross worked at Applied Marketing Sciences, an economic development marketing firm, and the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.
