ResortQuest, a new subsidiary of Nashville-based Gaylord Entertainment Co., has added nearly 2,000 luxury rental homes in Colorado and South Carolina to its vacation property management portfolio.

ResortQuest purchased six property management businesses from Edwards, Colo.-based East West Resorts for $22.25 million in cash, the company announced Monday.

The businesses manage 2,000 homes and condominiums in the ski resort areas of Aspen and Breckenridge in Colorado and the South Carolina beach destinations of Hilton Head and the Charleston Outer Islands.

ResortQuest has more than 18,000 vacation rental properties in the United States and Canada with a combined real estate value estimated in excess of $7 billion.
