Comfort Supply hires Baushke
Comfort Supply, a Tennessee wholesaler of Ruud HVAC products, has hired Bill Baushke as inside sales associate for the company’s Nashville location at 305 Arlington Avenue.
Baushke will help Comfort Supply cultivate prospective buyers by working directly with contractors to convey the features and benefits of Comfort Supply’s products.
Most recently, Baushke worked as an inside salesperson for the metal distributor Three States Supply in Clarksville. In addition, he gained HVAC experience during his time with The Trane Company where he worked for 22 years.
“We hired Bill because of his impressive HVAC and distribution background. He will be a wonderful asset to our company, and we feel very fortunate to have him,” said Nashville Branch Manager David Sosna.
Baushke earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and sales and his associate degree in HVAC technology from Ferris State University.
Aegis promotes four
Aegis Sciences Corp. has promoted four employees to vice president status: Dr. Cheryl Hild, Steve Pickens, Nicole Piersiak and Keri Thoma.
Hild, previously Aegis director of quality, will monitor and oversee as VP of quality all functions of the quality management system to ensure that laboratory processes meet compliance regulations and policies. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Tennessee’s Center for Executive Education. A co-author of The Power of Statistical Thinking, Hild has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed articles and is an active public speaker in the areas of Lean and Six Sigma. She received her Ph.D. in management science and statistics from the University of Tennessee.
Previously director of marketing, Piersiak will oversee as VP of marketing business development, public relations, corporate events and project management. Before joining Aegis, she worked as a sales representative for the cardiovascular team at Merck & Co. Piersiak received her B.S. in exercise and sports sciences in the honors program from the University of Florida and, last fall, finished her master’s of management degree in health care at Vanderbilt University.
Thoma, a CPA who previously served as Aegis’ controller, joined the company in 2009 after serving as manager of the European Treasury Center for John Deere, Inc., in Luxembourg. As VP of finance, Thoma will direct Aegis’ financial activities including preparing financial statements, performing account analysis and creating annual and quarterly budgets. Thoma received her B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Iowa and her M.A. in business administration and finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
As vice president of sales, Pickens will manage the Aegis sales team while developing sales plans, analysis of market trends and budget and revenue predictions. Pickens has more than 25 years of sales experience and previously served as national sales manager at Aegis. He once worked as the district sales manager for Alpharma Pharmaceuticals and, prior to that, as district sales manager for Mylan-Bertek Pharmaceuticals. Pickens earned his B.A. in business administration and marketing from the University of Memphis.

Nashville-based Aegis is a forensic toxicology and health care sciences laboratory that provides drug testing services.
DVL promotes Williamson
DVL Public Relations & Advertising has promoted Molly Williamson from account executive to senior account executive.
Williamson, who has been with DVL since 2008, specializes in media relations, marketing and event planning and management. At DVL, Williamson works with clients in a variety of industries including food and beverage, sports and health care.
Logan’s adds Martin
Logan’s Roadhouse has named Michael Martin to lead its personnel department.
Martin comes to Nashville-based Logan’s from Jack in the Box, where he focused on leadership development and operational execution. Before that, he also worked at Wendy’s International, Taco Bell and Stouffer Hotels & Resorts.
“Michael brings a wealth of industry experience, creative energy and a common sense approach to this important role in our company,” said Mike Andres, who early this year took over as president and CEO of Logan’s Roadhouse.
Martin takes over some of the responsibilities held by former Chief Development Officer Rob Effner, who left the company earlier this year. A former U.S. Army helicopter pilot, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and a master’s in organizational development and strategic management from Chapman University in California.
