Vanderbilt University Medical Center has reached an agreement to become the official health care provider to the Nashville Predators.

Through the deal, Vanderbilt’s Sports Medicine Center will provide medical care to the teams players and coaches. Additionally, Vanderbilt’s LifeFlight Event Medicine will provide emergency medical treatment for the Predators as well as first aid and emergency medical services at Sommet Center events.

VUMC’s Jed Kuhn, chief of shoulder surgery at VSMC and a former head physician USA Hockey National Team Development Program, has also been named as the team’s head physician.

Services were previously provided by Saint Thomas Health Services' Baptist Sports Medicine brand, which also serves the Titans. Saint Thomas ended its official relationship with the Preds in June after serving in the role for 10 years.
