2002 Women's SEC Tournament team capsules

Player to Watch: Senior guard Shondra Johnson. Johnson led the Tide in scoring (15.2 points per game), rebounds (5.0), assists (4.3) and steals (1.5) and was a second-team All-SEC selection.

Best Freshman: Katie Sipe. The guard from Hillsboro, Tenn. (Coffee County HS) started all 26 games and averaged 8.5 points, which was ninth among SEC freshmen.

NCAA Tourney Outlook: With an RPI of 50 heading into the SEC Tourney, Alabama is squarely on the bubble. The Tide need to defeat Georgia in the first round to breathe a little easier.
