ABA eyes Lipscomb

A Nashville professional basketball expansion team expected to compete in the revamped American Basketball Association next season is in discussions with Lipscomb University officials concerning the use of Allen Arena for the 2004-2005 season.

The 5,028-seat arena on campus is said to the leading contender to house the new team owned by pop/rock artist Sally Anthony though no contract has been signed. The team would need 18 home dates.
