All-District Teams

Tonight, all the district tournament action is put on hold as teams prepare for the semifinals tomorrow night. During this short lull in the hardwood action, The City Paper would like to recognize the talented student athletes who are noted as the impact players in their district.

In these awards, only the input of the respective district coaches was used in tabulating these All District teams. Noting that many players in the Nashville area are versatile and play several positions, we have elected to celebrate the six best players from each league, regardless of their position.

Coaches were asked to consider a player's ability on the floor, without regard to position. Many great players were mentioned who did not make the team, but were worthy of district honorable mention.

We now present The Nashville City Paper's1st Annual Basketball Awards All District Teams.

12-AAA Boys' All District Team

This is the black-and-blue boys' division of Nashville and was dominated this year by Stratford, who finished the district schedule undefeated. Whites Creek, Antioch, Hunters Lane and Maplewood all finished with great years. With three state-ranked teams and several of the mid-state's top scorers during the regular season, 12-AAA proved to be one of the toughest districts in the state.
