Alleged mistakes by counselor spurs audit

Following allegations that a guidance counselor inappropriately altered student transcripts, Metro Nashville Public Schools is conducting a district-wide audit of student records.

Kim Mansfield, coordinator for guidance counseling for the Metro Schools, said her department began the audit in 2005 after discovering errors in records kept by counselor Robert Bowers at Maplewood High School.
