Late Thursday night, police found the man they were looking for — one accused of attempted criminal homicide and aggravated robbery — after asking the public for help Tuesday.

According to an arrest warrant, an anonymous caller told police that Bryan Odell “Pee-Wee” Hunter was at 1707 10th Ave. N. When officers arrived they were allowed inside and Hunter surrendered without incident on charges of outstanding warrants and weapon possession.

As he was being led out of the home, Hunter told police where a gun belonging to him was in the house.

Hunter was booked into the Davidson County jail just before midnight.

Police said Hunter, 21, was identified as the gunman in a March 31 shooting in a Creekwood Drive apartment and an April 2 drug-related shooting on Baldwin Court. Both victims survived.

Hunter’s last known address is on Crouch Drive, and he has previous convictions involving cocaine possession, reckless endangerment and retaliation, after he threatened a police officer who arrested him on an aggravated assault warrant.
