Metro Police say results from an autopsy Wednesday morning show that Nathaniel Adefope died from multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma.

A co-worker at Tennessee State University found Nathaniel Adefope, 60, murdered inside a storage building at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Frank A. Young Poultry Plant. The farm is located in the 3500 block of West Heiman Street.

The motive for the murder remains under investigation, police said.

Adefope, a 27-year veteran of TSU, served as the poultry plant supervisor. He held a Master of Science degree in agriculture with a concentration in animal science from TSU.
