Metro police tell News Channel5 an argument at a Hermitage Bar turned deadly Sunday night.

Two men took their fight to the parking lot around 10 p.m. when they were kicked out of the Double E Bar & Grill on Lebanon Pike near the Davidson-Wilson County.

The fight in the parking lot escalated, and a man in his early 50s was stabbed and killed.

The owner of the Double E Bar & Grill said nothing like this has ever happened before, and he also said he was not familiar with the victim.

If only there were some law that permitted conceal and carry permits to enter establishments that served spirits, this tragedy might not have occurred...

Yes, then he could have shot him instead of stabbing him.. Or both...

Killing is human nature. To say it isn't, is to lye to yourself. Most of us can control it, some obviosly cannot. To blame it on an actual object is like blaming a pencil for misspelling. People will kill on another with whatever they can get their hands on. We have been doing it for 1000's of years. Get a freaking clue.

I would rather be able to protect myself because you, a police officer, or even the o'mighty Chief Serpas cannot protect me all the time.

Would it make you feel safer if we pad all the walls, ban all items that can cause harm, and require people get permits to leave the house? We need to know where you are so you don't hurt yourself or others! You could pick up a rock or a stick. We never know.......OMG

So sorry to hear that he was killed. He was a wonderful man, I had dealt with him for many years as a customer at his pawn shop, and he was always reasonable, honest, and friendly. He will be sadly missed!!!!

What is wrong with you? Did you not read that a man was stabbed and lost his life? I knew him. He was a great guy and always had a smile. He really loved life and was the kind of guy you wanted to keep around. It disgusts me that you would use this article as a soap box to make yet another "cold dead hands" argument. Maybe the problem isn't with the second amendment, but that we as a society have grown completely numb to horrible events such as this. I'm all for cc's and the American right to bear arms, but it's people like you that rob any credibility from gun owners.

A side note, lye is something used in soap making... you might want to check that out. In the future when you're attempting to make a well articulated point, you should probably make sure you haven't misspelled a word on my niece's second grade vocabulary quiz.
