Bill Hall hangs up his weather hat

After 31 years on the air, Channel 4 Severe Weather Team Anchor Bill Hall will retire on Wednesday.

Hall joined WSMV-Ch. 4 on Feb. 1, 1974 as a staff announcer and weather reporter, became a weekend news anchor in 1976 and chief weathercaster in 1977.
