A panel discussion Monday will raise the topic of immigration law reform and its impact on the economy and job creation.
The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Partnership for a New American Economy and Business Forward will co-host a panel discussion regarding the economic impact of immigration reform on Monday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Hilton Downtown Nashville hotel.
Chamber President and CEO Ralph Schulz will moderate the panel discussion, which will include Farsheed Ferdowsi, CEO of Inova Payroll; Alejandro Mayorkas, director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services; Colin Reed, chairman and CEO of Gaylord Entertainment; and John Steele, senior vice president of human resources for HCA.
Jeremy Robbins, policy adviser and special counsel for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, will also speak. The discussion will focus on the importance of smarter immigration laws and their potential for creating jobs and boosting the U.S. economy.
