Cisar making significant contribution

Until a few weeks ago, the biggest distinction that right winger Marian Cisar had with the Nashville Predators was that he was the first player ever signed by the team.

Cisar was obtained from the Los Angeles Kings for future considerations before the Predators made their expansion draft picks in 1998. He scored the first ever preseason goal for the Predators in a Sept. 19, 1998 game against the Florida Panthers but his road to success on the NHL level has been as bumpy as a bad ice surface. However, since being recalled by the Predators Cisar has been a new player, with six goals and eight assists in 25 games. He had two goals and an assists in the Predators four-game road trip to the West coast.

The Predators need all the scoring they can get so Cisar will be counted on heavily tonight when the Edmonton Oilers visit the Gaylord Entertainment Center for a game at 7.
