The Nashville Civic Design Center drives the debate regarding this city’s built form.

On that theme, the center will premiere its Design Your Neighborhood documentary film at its monthly Urban Design Forum on Thursday at the Watkins College of Art, Design & Film (2298 Rosa L. Parks Blvd.).

The film will show at 6:15 p.m. A discussion with filmmaker Carolyn McDonald will follow.

Tickets are limited and space can be reserved online: www.dyndocpremiere.eventbrite.com.

Design Your Neighborhood was based on an innovative four-week project during the summer of 2011. The effort engaged youth living in urban neighborhoods on the topics of architecture, urban design, planning and civic involvement, and included educational sessions, field trips and design charrettes through a partnership with Watkins and the Oasis Center.
