The sold-out CMA Awards will require the closing on Wednesday of some key downtown Nashville streets.
Beginning at 3:30 p.m., the current closure of Demonbreun Street will expand from Fourth Avenue South on the east to Seventh Avenue South on the west. In addition, the block of Sixth Avenue South between Demonbreun on the south and Broadway on the north will be closed.
Already, Demonbreun is closed between Fourth and Fifth avenues, and Fifth is closed between Franklin Street on the south and Broadway on the north.
All roads will re-open no later than 2 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, with the exception of Demonbreun between Fourth and Fifth, which will re-open by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12.
The 44th Annual CMA Awards will air on ABC Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. from the Bridgestone Arena.
Yee haw!! It's redneck christmas in Nashville!! I can't see for the glare off the beltbuckles...
Actually, it is a huge event enjoyed by many. I suggest for those who don't like it, don't go downtown and don't watch it on tv tonight. For me, I am looking forward to it!
Another reason people around the world call Nashville stupid and I totally agreed LOL
Tommy, if you live here and are not happy, MOVE!! Just curious, who around the world calls Nashville stupid? Is it the millions who will be watching the CMAs on tv? Or maybe its the thousands who will be in attendance. I think you are just another bitter Joy Sucker.
TITAN1, have you ever watch CMAs when Vince gill, Reba, Dolly as host? Lmao, if you compare CMA to Grammy, Acadamy Award or any other big award on network TV and you notice any different? You either brain dead or clueless.
You should check the ratings and yes I have seen them many times and like millions of others I really enjoy them. Those you mentioned are very entertaining hosts. Obviously you don't like country music and probably should just tune out.
Another fantastic show! Props to all the winners!
