Officials will announce later today details regarding the seizure of 150 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $1.7 million on an airplane at Nashville International Airport.
Metro Police Chief Ronal Serpas and United States Attorney Ed Yarbrough will speak at a news conference at 1:30 p.m. in regard to the seizure.
Continue checking The City Paper for details.
O my god the chief is looking for drugs somewhere besides an intersection or interstate? Or did the D.E.A clue him in on it?
That blows!!!
The plane had to make an emergency landing on Briley Parkway and was immediately pulled over for speeding.
lol, revo! you beat me to it!
Keep up the good work, chief!
I got up early today, blanket!!!
I can tell! 8~DNO BLOW FOR YOU! lol
If the US attorney is in on the press conference its a Federal case/information.Sounds like it may be a private plane.
Just a guess, but it's almost a sure thing that the local police were working on a tipoff, likely from the feds. This is not a knock on Metro's finest, but showing up to make the arrest is hardly a banner effort, TITAN1's cheerleading notwithstanding.
I support the chief, so I have to get my positive posts in about him just like the negative people do.
Drugs off the street is drugs off the street. I don’t care who takes credit for it!
Can we sell the cocaine & put the money into the public schools? After all, if gambling is good for education, then cocaine can't be far behind!(Andrea Conte will probably snatch it to fund the bunker. Welcome to our ballroom, the Cocaine Cocoon.)
LOL M.J.B your sense of humor is back.
