The National Weather Service is forecasting for the Nashville area a chance of snow before 9 a.m. Friday, then rain, snow, and sleet likely between 9 a.m. and noon. Rain is likely after noon, as the chance of precipitation is 70 percent. The day should be cloudy, with a high near 39. Little or no snow accumulation is expected.

Friday night could see rain and snow after 8 p.m., with a low of 29.
