Committee to discuss future Broadway-West End corridor transit options

Mayor Karl Dean and transit officials are scheduled to meet Monday morning to discuss future transit options along the Broadway-West End corridor.

The steering committee of the Broadway-West End Corridor Study will discuss an overview of the study that was conducted by consulting firm Parsons Brinckerhoff. The topic will be mass transit options along the corridor that runs from Five Points in East Nashville to White Bridge Road in West Nashville.

Dean will join Paul Skoutelas of Parsons Brinckerhoff; Ed Cole, executive director of the Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee; and Paul Ballard, CEO of the Metro Transit Authority and the Regional Transportation Authority.

The committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at the Watermark restaurant, 507 12th Ave. S.
