Commodore ball back with more depth

Hope springs eternal in the spring, and even though there are still several weeks of winter left, Vanderbilt University baseball coach Roy Mewbourne is in a springtime state of mind.

With the Commodores preparing to open the season this weekend, Mewbourne likes what he sees on several levels. The Commodores have more depth and experience than they have had in the past four or five years. He sees the Commodores being better both defensively and at the plate in terms of offensive power.
