Competition stiff for CB position

The ranks may be thinning out at cornerback, but the competition is not.

Despite the broken toe suffered by Andre Dyson and the nagging hurts that have plagued Donald Mitchell and Michael Booker in recent days, the competition has only just begun, as the Tennessee Titans open the preseason Saturday against the Chicago Bears.

Of late, only Dainon Sidney has been fully healthy, though DeRon Jenkins has been able to play through sore feet and the usual assortment of nicks associated with training camp.

Booker missed both practices Monday because of a groin strain, and Mitchell, plagued by tendinitis in his knee, made it through the morning practice but took the afternoon off.
