Mayor Karl Dean will be sworn in for his second term Friday, Sept. 23, at an inauguration also featuring the swearing in of Vice Mayor Diane Neighbors and members of the new Metro Council.
The inauguration, held at the public square that fronts the downtown Metro Courthouse, begins at 11 a.m.
Performers will include the Nashville School of the Arts Madrigal Singers, according to mayor’s office spokeswoman Bonna Johnson.
She added there will be an “artist guest” that the mayor’s office declined to announce beforehand.
During Dean’s re-election campaign, country singer and onetime American Idol contestant Danny Gokey appeared with Dean at a campaign event.
Simon Cowell must be laughing.
Elected with barely over 50,000 votes out of over 200,000 registered voters! That should tell Karl something!
For those that didn't vote, you get what you deserve, more egotistical "taxpayers donate to Karl's ego dreams".
So very true bfra; we have now agreed on 2 things.
The way the CP poll is going about ego pushing Karl, I am beginning to think he must have paid the few that did come out & vote for him? Even for money, I wouldn't vote for the blow hard!
That's 50k more than any other candidate received bfra....
Your logic isn't great in assertion...
Also,
Please let me know when Dean raised property taxes... he didn't!
