Patricia Marilyn Barker, a devoted mother, grandmother, wife and successful real estate professional, died Sunday. The tireless civic volunteer was involved widely in social issues, especially those aimed at helping women. She was a gourmet cook, gardener and avid traveler, who loved Paris and the south of France. To her friends and family, she was a valued counselor and generous caregiver. The family will receive visitors from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, Feb. 22, at Roesch-Patton-Austin, Bracey & Charlton at 1715 Broadway. A private family service will follow the visitation on Thursday. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. She was preceded in death by her father, the late William Lasky. Her husband, Nashville attorney Joseph N. Barker, managing director of Marketstreet Equities Co., survives her. Other survivors include her children, Teresa W. Orefice (Mrs. Joseph), Woodstock, Ga.; Michelle E. Katz, Nashville, Tenn.; Leah Moynihan (Mrs. Bill), North Addleboro, Mass.; and Nate Barker, Nashville, Tenn.; mother, Dorothy Lasky; grandson, Zachary Elliott Wilson, Woodstock, Ga.; siblings, Teresa Rugge, Wall Township, N.J.; Mary Ryan, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Margaret Stettner, Allentown, Pa.; Andrew Lasky, Corydon, Ind.; Andrea Beltz, Slatington, Pa.; and Ellen Neff, Kunkeltown, Pa. Mrs. Barker, vice president of Corporate Investment Services at Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, a Nashville commercial real estate brokerage firm, had more than 25 years experience in real estate. She previously served as a senior officer with First American National Bank, Nashville, and as an adjunct professor of real estate finance at Belmont University. She was also past president of Belmont
