NASHVILLE - Virginia Blake Goodman, 88, died April 15, 2003, of natural causes at Bethany Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh M. Goodman Sr. Survivors include her son, Hugh M. (Lynn) Goodman Jr. Mrs. Goodman graduated from Hume-Fogg High School and Ward-Belmont College. She was a resident of Nashville/Old Hickory until 1948 when she moved with her husband and son to Signal Mountain, Tenn., where she lived until 2000. She was an avid golfer after moving to Signal Mountain and was president of the Chattanooga Women's Golf Association in 1958 and of the Signal Mountain Women's Golf Association in 1963. She was active in Republican Party politics in Hamilton County as a volunteer and member of the Republican Women of Tennessee. Family and friends will gather at Woodlawn Cemetery, 600 Thompson Lane, for a graveside service at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. K.C. Ptomey officiating. GOODLETTSVILLE/ADAMS - Wellington Lewis Greer, 63, died April 14, 2003, at Saint Thomas Hospital. He was employed with Ford Glass Plant for the last 43 years. Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his parents, Shelby and Gertrude Binkley Greer.
