NASHVILLE - Clayton Vance Cramb Jr., 58, died Dec. 8, 2003. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton V. Cramb Sr. Survivors include his wife, Sandra F. Jones; sons, Clayton V. Cramb III and David C. Cramb and their mother, Patricia Cramb; mother, Frances A. Cramb; mother-in-law, Helen B. Jones; sister, Milina F. Cramb; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dr. Beverly Jones and Mark Langford; aunts, Sarah Shupe of Clinton, Ky., and Irene Blanton of Carmichael, Calif.; uncles, James O. and Betty Moore of Martin and James and Allene Taylor; niece, Kristy (Carlos) Garcia; and two great-nephews. He was a judicial commissioner for the Metro General Session Courts from 1986-99. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today with Father Robert Abstein officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. today. Interment will be in Harpeth Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Langford, John Gore, Gary Cooper, James C. McBroom, Guy Whitley and Thomas B. Wilson.

HERMITAGE - Peggy Jean Rather Dillon died Dec. 8, 2003. Mrs. Dillon was preceded in death by her parents, Agee and Fairy Belle Rather; and her brothers, Nicholas, Douglas and Phillip Rather. Survivors include her husband, Frank Dillon; son, Mike (Judy) Jones; grandsons, Jonathan and Andrew Jones; brother, Garnett (Peggy) Rather; nieces, Cherry Rather and Holly Ray; nephews, Nick Rather, Billy Rather, Eric Rather and Jeff Rather; and great-nephews, Kerry Dale Fuqua, Jason Fuqua and Nick Ray. Visitation with the family will be held from 10-11 a.m. today at Belmont United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today with the Rev. John Collett officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the Harbison Fellowship Sunday School Class. HENDERSONVILLE - Charlie B. Scruggs, 83, died Dec. 5, 2003, at his residence. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Scruggs. Survivors include his grandson, James Craighead; great-granddaughter, Sandra Duley; two great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ethel Craighead; and sisters, Odean Hickey and Mary Duke. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today with Brother August Ruff officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
