Driggers, Howard 'Rip'

NASHVILLE - Howard "Rip" Driggers, 77, died March 22, 2004. Survived by wife, Louise Driggers; daughters, Linda (Bill) Pettus and Debbie Driggers; grandchildren, Laura Pettus (Chris) Beach and Amy Pettus; and sister, Doris Monroe. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, by Wendell Byrd. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Craig Rutland, Dr. Bijoy John, Jack James and Doris Barnes. Interment Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Hulme, Isaac N. 'Pinky' Jr.

HENDERSONVILLE - Isaac N. "Pinky" Hulme Jr., 82, died March 21, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II where he served as a ball turret gunner on a B-17 bomber in the U.S. Air Force and participated in 36 missions over Germany. He was a member of the Clayborn Masonic No. 293 Lodge and the Hendersonville Church of Christ. He retired as an engineer at South Central Bell after 38 years. He was preceded in death by his sons, James Mack Hulme an Edward Dalton Hulme; brother, Kenneth Hulme; and sister, Virginia Cavert. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Luella Watson Hulme; son, Isaac N. "Ike" (Ann) Hulme III; daughter-in-law, Susan Hulme; brothers, James C. Hulme and Robert W. (Bobbie) Hulme; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; nieces, Jan Shepard, Joyce Murley, Carole Parmer and Susan Morgan. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Woodlawn Funeral Home with Brother Garland Briley and Brother Keith Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be George Kersey, Lewis Collier, Doug Horton, Bill Williams, Bill Crawford, Ralph Hardin, Nick Small, Larry Kirk and Leroy Gaskins. Honorary pallbearers will be Prime Time Sunday School Class of Hendersonville Church of Christ and BellSouth Pioneers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Alive Hospice, Camp Bluebird or the charity of choice.

Moore, Thomas Russell Jr.

DICKSON - Thomas Russell Moore Jr., 80, died March 22, 2004. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Cude Moore. Survivors include his wife, Jean Bean Moore of Dickson; sons, Anthony Thomas Moore and Timmy Dale Moore; daughter, Donna Kay Scott; stepdaughters, Carolyn Brunett of Lake Jackson, Texas, Joan Vineyard and Dee Browning of Tennessee Ridge; brothers, Robert Moore of White Bluff and James Moore of Burns; sisters, Myrtle Ruth Stewart and Dorothy Fussell; grandchildren, Christopher Scott, Alisha Scott and Allison Moore; great-grandchildren, Clinton Scott, Zoie Scott and Zane Scott; four step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today with Brother Dean Guye and Brother Paul Darety officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Peay, Susan Irvine

NASHVILLE - Susan Irvine Peay, 54, died March 21, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Col. Richard H. Irvine. Survivors include her mother, Betty Irvine; children, Elise Hudson and James Hudson; and sisters, Barbara Irvine Richards and Katherine Irvine Ragain. Mrs. Peay retired from the Metro Parks Department. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Nashville National Cemetery. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Pierce, Minor

NASHVILLE/HENDERSONVILLE - Minor Pierce, 85, died March 21, 2004. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Pierce; brother, Gene Pierce; and sisters, Beulah Light and Bess Bragg. Survivors include his nephews, Paul, Bill and Bobby Williams; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Pierce was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid gardener and a sports fan of the University of Tennessee. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today in the Serenity Chapel Mausoleum at Spring Hill Cemetery with Brother Keith Parker officiating.

Posey, Robbie Lee

NASHVILLE - Robbie Lee Posey, 84, died March 21, 2004. Survivors include her sons, Terry Posey and Michael (Debbie) Posey; grandchildren, Lt. Sanders, George H.

MADISON - George H. Sanders, 70, died March 23, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sanders and Mamie Sanders Redding. He is survived bv his wife: Jessye Evell Sanders; sons, Toby (Kim) Adams, Troy (Kim) Adams; stepsons, Kenny and Keith Colley; brother, Lewis (Barbara) Redding; sisters, May (David) Fleming, Shirley (Ronnie) Cochran and Linda Lillard; and twelve grandchildren. Mr. Sanders was a retired truck driver. Visitations are from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. today and from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael L. Hammonds officiating. Entombment will be in the Serenity Mausoleum at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery.
