Hawkins, Jr., William Burgin (Bill) of Nashville,
died suddenly on Sept. 21, 2004 while vacationing in France. He was 63. Mr. Hawkins is survived by his son, William Burgin (Will) Hawkins, III, of Nashville; his daughter, Sara Katherine (Scott) Braddy of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth and Cooper Thomas Braddy; and two sisters, Betty (R.B.) Kent of Birmingham, AL, and Martha (Lynn) Virden of Leland, MS. His parents, Judge Burgin Hawkins and Lysbeth Katherine Hawkins of Birmingham, AL, precede him in death. Mr. Hawkins was born on September 8, 1942 in Birmingham, AL. He was a graduate of Birmingham University School and Auburn University where he earned a masters degree in mathematics/celestial mechanics. After graduation from college, he worked for the Boeing Company in Huntsville, AL, as an aerospace engineer before moving to the Information Technology group at the State of Tennessee. He retired as Director of Finance & Administration
