Death penalty fits the crime in sniper cases

Prosecutors are lining up to try John Muhammad and John Lee Malvo in the series of sniper murders that rocked the Washington area throughout October. The primary issues seem to be: which jurisdiction has the strongest death penalty statute, and in which state is the death penalty most likely to be carried out? In our opinion, these questions are appropriate given the facts of this case.
