Detectives believe the key to determining the identities of suspects in Rashad Fisher’s murder lies in their nicknames.
Someone shot and killed 19-year-old Fisher on Tuesday afternoon in the J.C. Napier public housing development on Charles E. Davis Boulevard. Metro police said they have nicknames and strong leads to go on, but haven’t named any suspects yet.
Fisher, of Donelson Street, died Tuesday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
So far police believe a passenger in a tan or gold Chevrolet Impala fired shots at Fisher and two friends. At least three people were in the Impala at the time.
Police urge anyone with information on the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME or send a text to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with a message to 274637 (CRIMES).
