If bank robbery is any indication, perhaps the economy hasn’t picked up as much as some analysts say.
Criminals appear to be increasingly targeting banks — sure sources of cash.
This time it was the Wilson Bank & Trust branch on Donelson Pike. A man robbed the bank at gunpoint just after 10 a.m. Wednesday morning, Metro police said.
The suspect was described as a clean-shave black man with freckles, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a blue and red plaid shirt, black pants, sunglasses and a black ball cap.
He fled on foot toward McCampbell Avenue, police said.
Anyone who has information concerning the robbery is urged to contact Detective Keith Sutherland with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
