An 18-year-old Franklin man police suspect was drunk triggered a three-car collision Tuesday night, according to Franklin Police.
Police say Yusuf Arslan, of Rebel Circle in Franklin, struck two vehicles at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday night after he drove over a median and into oncoming traffic. Arslan was attempting to make a right turn from Mack Hatcher onto Hillsboro Road, police said.
A witness told police they observed Arslan throwing a beer bottle from his vehicle after the crash, and observations from a Franklin investigating officer led to Arslan being arrested and charged with driving under the influence and violation of implied consent. He was released from Williamson County Jail on Wednesday morning on $2,500 bond.
