E. Nashville homeowner cited for code violations

After years of complaints from neighbors about alleged crack deals, garbage in the yard, and children and pets running amok, the owner of a East Nashville property steeped in contention has been issued a warrant for odes violations.

Two days after the house sustained major damage from a fire over the weekend, Jerry Smith, who owns the 1423 Roberts Ave. property, has been issued a civil warrant to appear in court for Codes violations, something the neighborhood has been trying to do for years.

Jeff Voight, a neighbor who lives next door to the house, said,
