Ensworth High School recently topped the list of awardees recognized for architectural design by the American School and University (ASU) Magazine.
Ensworth was the only high school in the nation to receive the citation for design excellence in the 2005 Architectural Portfolio competition.
Massachusetts-based Graham Gund Architects designed the $45 million campus in conjunction with local firm Hastings Architecture.
The ASU award is the fourth accolade the two-year old school has received this year from various architecture and design organizations.
Ensworth has also received the Merit Award in Architecture from AIS Tennessee, Excellence in Masonry from the Masonry Institute of Tennessee and a citation for design from the Boston Society of Architects.
