A man in jail awaiting trial in a pair of fast food restaurant robberies is now facing first-degree murder charge in Nashville’s first homicide of 2010.

Detectives said evidence linked Ordriesse Arrindell, 42, to the shooting death of Jairo R. Zuniga, 21, inside Zuniga’s 1211 Bell Road apartment. Robbery was likely the motive, police said.

Arrindell was arrested March 9 in connection to two armed robberies — the first March 7 at Arby’s at 7689 Highway 70 and the next day at Captain D’s on Old Hickory Boulevard at Interstate 65 south.

Zuniga’s body was discovered Jan. 5 by a pest control employee, who entered the residence for routine spraying. Arrindell was acquainted with Zuniga and lived at the same apartment complex for a time.
