A Lebanon man died Thursday night in a two-car collision on Stewarts Ferry Pike at the entrance ramp to Interstate 40 East, Metro police said.

James Walworth, 27, was the front seat passenger in a Ford Taurus, driven by his wife, Danielle Walworth. They were attempting to turn left onto the eastbound entrance ramp just after 10 p.m. when they collided with a northbound Toyota pickup truck, police said.

Danielle Walworth, 27, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries, as was her other passenger, James Redmond, 35, of Clarksville.

The driver of the Toyota, Ronald Bronson, 45, of Murfreesboro, was transported to Summit Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police said the Stewarts Ferry Pike-I-40 interchange is controlled by a traffic signal. The investigation to determine which vehicle had the right of way is ongoing.

There was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement in this crash, police said.
