Police suspect this man has robbed two banks since Wednesday morning.

Metro police and the FBI want the public’s help identifying the man responsible for two bank robberies in Nashville, including one Thursday morning.

Authorities believe the same man robbed the SunTrust branch at 1715 West End Thursday morning and the Fifth Third branch at 424 Church Street on Wednesday morning.

Both robberies occurred when the suspect entered the bank at 9 a.m. and gave a teller a robbery demand note. Thursday morning, the man flashed a handgun to the teller.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his 40s or 50s, who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds.

Thursday morning the man wore a grey Tommy Hilfiger ball cap and grey T-shirt.

Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at 232-7500 or Crime Stoppers at 74-Crime.
