Staff reports

Firefighters are on the scene of a two-alarm fire that broke out just before 4 p.m. Friday at the Madison at Ridgelake apartment complex in Bellevue.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they reported seeing heavy smoke and some flames. Shortly afterward, the fire was upgraded to a two-alarm fire, though it’s unclear whether that decision was made based on the size of the fire or the afternoon high temperature.

The apartment complex is located at 100 Ridgelake Parkway in Bellevue.
