Franklin police search for suspects in overnight burglaries

Police in Franklin are looking for a burglar who helped himself to the contents of unlocked vehicles in 13 separate cases overnight Tuesday.

The auto burglaries happened between around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and early morning Wednesday in the Sullivan Farms Subdivision and the Columbia Avenue area, between Everbright and Battle avenues, according to Franklin police.

Without a single forced entry, the suspect stole sunglasses, GPS units and other electronics from the easy-target vehicles left unlocked and parked in front of homes or in driveways. 

Franklin police asked anyone with information regarding these cases to call Crime Stoppers at (615) 794-4000. Tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
