Mickey Roos, a barbecue joint on Hillsboro Road, touts itself as offering a “genuine taste of Texas,” and that may have been exactly what a Franklin man got in the restaurant parking lot last week.
Franklin police said an argument ended just before 11 p.m. Thursday when the suspect, William Sullivan, allegedly stabbed a friend in the abdomen and threatened two other men with a knife.
An officer on routine patrol came upon the large crowd in the parking lot; and witnesses quickly pointed out the suspect who was immediately taken into custody, police said.
Police said Sullivan had a bloody knife in his possession when he was arrested.
The victim, a 33-year-old Franklin man, was briefly hospitalized after the incident but has now been released, police said.
Sullivan was booked into the Williamson County Jail on three counts of aggravated assault. He was released Friday on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court at 2 p.m. Thursday.
