Group wants to buy apartment building for use as halfway house

A local charity organization wants to purchase an apartment complex in North Nashville that neighbors say is a hub of drug activity, and turn it into a halfway house.

The Successful Survivors Community Development Corporation, an outreach ministry of the Jackson Street Missionary Baptist Church, has asked the owner of the apartments if he would sell the building to the organization but the owner have so far refused. The corporation is offering $100,000.
