The man police said was the gunman in two separate shootings a few weeks ago is expected in court Monday morning.
Bryan Odell “Pee-Wee” Hunter is set for a preliminary hearing for an upcoming trial involving a shooting on March 31 in a Creekwood Drive apartment and what police said was a drug-related shooting April 2 on Baldwin Court.
Hunter faces two counts of aggravated robbery, one count of attempted criminal homicide and one felony weapons possession charge.
On April 15, just two days after the Metro police asked the public for help finding Hunter, an anonymous caller told police he was at 1707 10th Avenue North. When officers arrived they were allowed inside, and Hunter surrendered without incident on charges of outstanding warrants and weapon possession.
As he was being led out of the home, Hunter told police where a gun belonging to him was still inside.
Hunter’s last known address is on Crouch Drive, and he has previous convictions involving cocaine possession, reckless endangerment and retaliation, after he threatened a police officer who arrested him on an aggravated assault warrant.
