The man accused of drawing a gun during a struggle with police officers is set for a preliminary court hearing Monday morning.

Ordriesse Arrindell, 42, allegedly presented officers with a fake Ohio’s driver’s license after they stopped him at a Bell Road Mapco Tuesday. When officers asked about the ID Arrindell attempted to escape, and then as officers wrestled with him, he pulled a gun and tried to point it at them.

After police finally disarmed and detained Arrindell, they found 63 grams of marijuana in his SUV.

Arrindell is facing six counts of aggravated robbery in addition to charges for unlawful gun possession, felony marijuana possession, evading arrest, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a police officer.

He formerly worked at a Bellevue Arby’s before transferring to one in LaVergne, where he was fired for theft.
