Hendersonville police have been searching for Obed Cruz-Mena since his estranged wife was found strangled to death in their apartment last week.

This morning the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation gave them an added boost when they added Cruz-Mena to the state's Top 10 list of most wanted fugitives.

Cruz-Mena, 22, whose last known address is 100 River Road in Hendersonville, is wanted on first-degree murder charges in connection to the murder of Ashley Sircy, 23, who was found murdered May 4 at 142 Sanders Ferry Road.

Cruz-Mena is a Mexican citizen and his 1994 Green Chevy Blazer was found abandoned in southern Texas. Cruz-Mena’s prior criminal history includes driving without a license.

He is described as a 5-feet, 4-inch tall Hispanic male weighing approximately 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cruz-Mena is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

He'll be back across the Rio and will run wild till he gets busted again and his fingerprints give him away. Or his wife's family pays him back.
