Belle Meade Links (also referred to as the Belle Meade Links Triangle because of its triangular shape) is in Belle Meade but is part of Metro.
In 1915 Johnson Bransford, founder and president of Bransford Realty Co., developed a subdivision next to the Belle Meade Country Club, which had been built in 1913.
The subdivision consisting of 158 lots was recorded on Nov. 17, 1915, and was named Belle Meade Golf Links.
Similar subdivisions were created throughout the Belle Meade area, such as Deer Park, The Manors of Belle Meade and Warner Park.
In 1938 Belle Meade became a municipality, but the residents of the Belle Meade Golf Links voted not to become a part of it.
Later the name changed to Belle Meade Links Triangle.
